Please tell us about yourself.

I am a person who appreciates quality time. I love spending time with my friends, boyfriend, family, and cats. I enjoy listening to music and reading. I’m a person who loves to crack jokes and is a huge cat lover.

How did you hear about 独家黑料? Why did you choose to attend college here?

I was part of a college program called Upward Bound. Our mentor supervisor at the time was a Cobber. She talked about 独家黑料 a lot so I became interested in applying and now I’m here.

What do you enjoy about the Fargo-Moorhead area?

I love going downtown to a lot of the local coffee, ice cream, and bubble tea shops. I also like the . I love the variety of stores and resources the F-M area has to offer.

How did you decide on your area of study? What inspired your passion for healthcare?

My mom inspired me to go into healthcare. She has been a CNA for about 20 years now and she would always come home with interesting stories about her shifts. I also love to help people and, just from my job experiences within healthcare, it feels like the right fit for me. It feels good to know that you made a person’s day and just making a difference in their life is so rewarding on its own.

What are your career goals?

To be an administrator or director of a hospital/clinic or assisted living/nursing home.

Do you have a favorite healthcare leadership course?

Honestly, I feel like every semester the classes that I take get better and better. There is always something new that you’ll learn and the conversations that we have in class are very interesting. They always make you think.

Have you taken a class in the new Heimarck Center?

Yes, I have. The building is beautiful and I love the study spaces.

Have you had any internships? If so, what were your responsibilities and what did you learn?

I have done a few internships. I was a Sustainability Youth Mentor and part of the May Leadership Internship. My responsibilities were to assist young people with creating a garden. I mentored them and talked about our life experiences. I learned a lot about leadership, how to lead, how to plan, and what my leadership type was from both internships.

Can you tell us about your role as the diversity advocate in the Student Government Association? What inspired you to join SGA?

As the diversity advocate, my job is to ensure that there is diversity within our campus community. I speak out for minority and marginalized groups — this can be race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, etc. I joined SGA to be a part of change. I wanted to represent voices that aren’t being heard on campus.

What is your favorite part about your role as president of the ?

I love planning and organizing discussions and events. I really enjoy being able to lead a group and seeing our vision come to life. I also love collaborating with other student orgs from other colleges and within 独家黑料.

What do you value most about being a Cobber?

I value the community and the talents. I’ve built such strong connections here with the people that I’ve met. I love the warm smiles and friendly hellos I get when I walk by. No matter what, there will be a group of people you’ll connect with. Cobbers are truly gifted. The talent and creativity here is outstanding. It’s shown through concerts, plays, sports, and student organizations.

Do you have a favorite 独家黑料 tradition? Why?

I enjoy Homecoming because of the excitement it brings. I love going to the bonfire with my friends and participating in the parade with the Black Student Union.

What advice would you give to a high school student who is considering 独家黑料?

If you love music, good food, active student organizations, and building great relationships, this place is for you.
