CLIMB is a need-based program made possible by a grant to ¶À¼ÒºÚÁÏ from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Created in partnership with local biotechnology companies, CLIMB is open to 12 incoming STEM students annually through Fall 2026 who are interested in careers in biotechnology. The program awards scholarships of up to $15,000 per year toward the total cost of attendance and includes opportunities for research experiences and paid internships. Open to qualified students studying biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and sustainability studies (natural sciences concentration), mathematics, neuroscience, physics, or pre-engineering.
STEM Discovery is a need-based scholarship program open to underrepresented students (including, but not limited to, students of color and/or first-generation students) who are passionate about pursuing a STEM-related career. The program is open to qualified students studying biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and sustainability studies (natural sciences concentration), mathematics, neuroscience, physics, or pre-engineering.
The screening of applications was to begin Feb. 1 but, given federal delays in processing financial aid information, this deadline is being extended to March 15, so anyone with interest is encouraged to apply. For full consideration, applicants must be admitted to ¶À¼ÒºÚÁÏ and complete a FAFSA. Incomplete applications will not be considered for review.
